Meet the Wiggly Squid

The catchily named Didymoceras is a long extinct group of cephalopod-like creatures (that’s the fancy name for squid, in case you were wondering). We’re highlighting them today simply because they are cool and funny looking.

Sometimes that’s all the reasoning you need.

However if you desperately want to know more about them - these creatures are thought to have floated around in oceans that have long since become land, feeding on whatever delicious morsels might drift their way.

There you go, now get back to admiring that wiggly shell!
